Preparations for the upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw are actively going on. Defence Minister is holding intensive meetings with the representatives of the Partner Countries. On the sidelines of the Wrocław Global Forum Tinatin Khidasheli will meet with the U.S. Congress members and Senators, representatives of the Atlantic Council and NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow.
Georgia’s expectations for NATO Summit in July, U.S.-Georgia bilateral relations and more assistance to Georgia’s strengthened defence capabilities will be the main focus of the bilateral meetings.
“Our agenda seeks to achieve more success and more projects in the U.S.-Georgia bilateral relations and more assistance from our strategic partner. We’d like to receive maximum benefit from the meetings with U.S. Congress members and Senators in order to strengthen and get more political support. Obviously, the main emphasis will be still made on the Warsaw Summit,” Tinatin Khidasheli said.
